Detailed Meaning

Lord Krishna describes His opulence by identifying with the 'best' or the 'essential core' of various categories. He is the Sama Veda because of its musical and devotional quality. He is Indra (Vasava), the king of gods, representing supreme leadership. He is the Mind, the 'sixth sense' that coordinates all other senses. Most importantly, He is 'Chetana'—the fundamental consciousness or life-force that distinguishes a living being from dead matter. This verse teaches us to see the Divine in the essence of power, melody, cognition, and life itself.
