"Intelligence, wisdom, non-delusion, forgiveness, truth, control of the senses, control of the mind, happiness, sorrow, birth, death, fear, fearlessness, non-violence, equanimity, contentment, austerity, charity, fame, and infamy—these diverse qualities of living beings all arise from Me alone."
Key Insight:
The Bhagavad Gita teaches us through 10.5 that true peace is found when we align our actions with Dharma.

Detailed Meaning

Lord Krishna enumerates twenty distinct psychological and spiritual dispositions (bhavas) that define human nature. He asserts that he is the ultimate source of all these traits, whether they are perceived as positive (fame, joy) or negative (infamy, sorrow). The explanation uses the analogy of a power house: the same electricity powers a heater, a bulb, or a fan. Similarly, the divine energy manifests through different individuals based on their past and present choices (purushartha), creating the diverse fabric of human existence. Understanding this helps a seeker realize the omnipresence of God even within the complexities of the human mind.
