Detailed Meaning
This verse depicts the Viswarupa (Universal Form) as 'Kala' or Time, the ultimate destroyer. Arjun witnesses the inevitable future where great warriors, regardless of their prowess or side, are consumed by the 'teeth' of Time. The 'teeth' symbolize the grinding force of change and mortality that eventually claims all physical forms. Even virtuous figures like Bheeshma and Drona are not exempt from this cosmic law because they aligned with Adharma or had fulfilled their earthly purpose. This vision shifts the perspective from a localized battle to a cosmic necessity—the dissolution of the old to make way for the new.
