Key Insight:
The Bhagavad Gita teaches us through 11.49 that true peace is found when we align our actions with Dharma.

Detailed Meaning

After revealing the overwhelming and terrifying Vishwarupa (Universal Form), Lord Krishna observes Arjuna's intense psychological distress. In His compassion, He reassures Arjuna that the vision of the Infinite should not be a cause for trauma. He instructs Arjuna to shed his fear (vyapetabhīḥ) and return to a state of joyful composure (prītamanāḥ) by focusing once more on His familiar, benevolent, and personal form. This transition marks the move from Aishvarya (God's majesty) back to Madhurya (God's sweetness).
