Chapter 13, Verse 12
The Bhagavad Gita teaches us through 13.12 that true peace is found when we align our actions with Dharma.
Detailed Meaning
In this concluding verse of the qualities of knowledge, Shree Krishna defines true wisdom not as an intellectual accumulation of data, but as a lived state of being. 'Adhyātma-jñāna-nityatvam' implies that spiritual awareness must be constant, not occasional. 'Tattva-jñānārtha-darśhanam' refers to keeping the ultimate purpose—the realization of the Absolute Truth—clearly in sight at all times. Krishna emphasizes that any pursuit devoid of these virtues and the ultimate spiritual goal is essentially 'Ajñāna' or ignorance, regardless of how 'educated' one might appear in a worldly sense. This verse synthesizes the twenty traits mentioned in the preceding verses into a singular definition of Enlightenment.
