Chapter 13, Verse 24

"He who knows thus the Person and Nature along with the qualities will not be born again, in whatever way he may live."
Key Insight:
The Bhagavad Gita teaches us through 13.24 that true peace is found when we align our actions with Dharma.

Detailed Meaning

This verse emphasizes that liberation (Moksha) is the result of profound, realized knowledge regarding the distinction between the Purusha (the individual soul/Supreme Soul) and Prakriti (material nature), including its three Gunas (modes). Ignorance of this distinction binds the soul to the cycle of birth and death. Once a seeker realizes their true identity as distinct from the changing material world, they are no longer bound by their past or present external circumstances (sarvathā vartamāno ’pi). This knowledge is not merely intellectual but a lived realization that dissolves the 'bhoktṛibhāva' (the egoistic sense of being the enjoyer), leading to the cessation of rebirth.
