Key Insight:
The Bhagavad Gita teaches us through 14.11 that true peace is found when we align our actions with Dharma.

Detailed Meaning

This verse provides a diagnostic tool to recognize the dominance of Sattva Guna (the mode of goodness). Sri Krishna explains that when Sattva prevails, the 'doors' of the body—the senses like eyes, ears, and the mind—become luminous with clarity and wisdom. In this state, a person perceives things as they truly are, rather than through the filters of desire (Rajas) or delusion (Tamas). This 'prakāśa' or light isn't physical photons, but an intellectual and spiritual clarity that allows one to make righteous choices effortlessly.
