Chapter 3, Verse 32

ये त्वेतदभ्यसूयन्तो नानुतिष्ठन्ति मे मतम् | सर्वज्ञानविमूढांस्तान्विद्धि नष्टानचेतस: ॥32॥
ye tv etad abhyasūyanto nānutiṣṭhanti me matam | sarva-jñāna-vimūḍhāṁs tān viddhi naṣṭān acetasaḥ ||
"But those who, out of envy, do not follow My teachings, know them to be deluded in all knowledge, devoid of discrimination, and doomed to spiritual ruin."
Key Insight:
The Bhagavad Gita teaches us through 3.32 that true peace is found when we align our actions with Dharma.

Detailed Meaning

This verse contrasts the faithful (mentioned in the previous verse) with the cynical. Shree Krishna explains that the human intellect is finite and prone to pride. When we encounter divine wisdom that we cannot immediately comprehend, we have two choices: have faith (shraddhā) and practice, or find fault (abhyasūya) and reject it. Those who choose the latter are called 'acetasaḥ'—lacking the higher discrimination to distinguish between the eternal and the ephemeral. By rejecting the path of selfless action (Karmayoga) due to ego or envy of the Divine, they remain trapped in the cycle of birth and death, essentially 'ruining' their potential for liberation.
