श्रद्धावान् लभते ज्ञानं तत्पर: संयतेन्द्रिय: | ज्ञानं लब्ध्वा परां शान्तिमचिरेणाधिगच्छति ॥39॥
śhraddhāvān labhate jñānaṁ tat-paraḥ saṁyatendriyaḥ | jñānaṁ labdhvā parāṁ śhāntim achireṇādhigachchhati
"The man who has faith, is diligent and has control over the organs, attains Knowledge. Achieving Knowledge, one soon attains supreme Peace."
Key Insight:
The Bhagavad Gita teaches us through 4.39 that true peace is found when we align our actions with Dharma.

Detailed Meaning

Lord Krishna defines the three-fold path to spiritual wisdom: Faith (Shraddha), Dedication (Tat-parah), and Mastery over the Senses (Samyatendriya). Faith is not blind belief but a firm confidence in the words of the Guru and Scriptures. This faith, when combined with focused effort and disciplined senses, leads to the realization of Truth (Jnana). The ultimate fruit of this transcendental knowledge is not power or wealth, but 'Param Shantim'—the supreme, eternal peace that transcends worldly disturbances.
