तत्र तं बुद्धिसंयोगं लभते पौर्वदेहिकम् | यतते च ततो भूय: संसिद्धौ कुरुनन्दन ॥43॥
tatra taṃ buddhi-saṃyogaṃ labhate paurva-dehikam | yatate ca tato bhūyaḥ saṃsiddhau kuru-nandana ||
"There he becomes endowed with that wisdom acquired in the previous body, and he strives more than before for perfection, O scion of the Kuru dynasty."
Key Insight:
The Bhagavad Gita teaches us through 6.43 that true peace is found when we align our actions with Dharma.

Detailed Meaning

This verse elucidates the law of spiritual continuity. The 'buddhi-samyogam' (union with the intellect/wisdom) refers to the reactivation of spiritual impressions (sanskars) from previous lives. Unlike material wealth, spiritual assets are carried forward into the next body. The seeker does not start from zero; they awaken to their previous level of consciousness and feel an innate drive to progress further ('yatate ca tato bhūyaḥ'). It explains child prodigies or individuals with sudden, deep spiritual inclinations despite a materialistic upbringing.
