"Beyond the inferior energy, O mighty-armed Arjuna, know My other, superior energy, which comprises the living beings who sustain this material world."
Key Insight:
The Bhagavad Gita teaches us through 7.5 that true peace is found when we align our actions with Dharma.

Detailed Meaning

In the previous verse (7.4), Krishna described His 'Aparā Prakṛti'—the eight-fold material energy consisting of the five elements, mind, intellect, and ego. Here, He introduces the 'Parā Prakṛti' or superior energy. This energy is 'Jīva-bhūta' (the living souls). Unlike dead matter, this energy is conscious and sentient. It is superior because it is the life-force that inhabits, utilizes, and sustains the material world. While the material world is the field of activity, the Jīva (soul) is the conscious entity that makes use of that field. This verse bridges the gap between material science and spiritual realization, identifying the soul not as a byproduct of matter, but as a distinct, higher energy of the Divine.
