Chapter 9, Verse 29

"I am impartial to all beings; to Me, no one is detestable nor anyone dear. But those who worship Me with devotion are in Me, and I am also in them."
Key Insight:
The Bhagavad Gita teaches us through 9.29 that true peace is found when we align our actions with Dharma.

Detailed Meaning

Lord Krishna clarifies the nature of Divine Grace. While God is inherently impartial (Samatva) and does not possess human-like favoritism or hatred, He operates on a law of reciprocity. Like the sun that shines on all but only illuminates the room with open windows, or rain that falls equally but produces different results based on the soil, God's grace is ever-present. The devotee, through 'Bhakti', creates the internal 'vessel' or 'space' for God to manifest. The relationship is mutual (mayi te teṣu cāpy aham), signifying a mystical union where the boundaries between the seeker and the sought dissolve through the alchemy of love.
