Chapter 11, Verse 52

श्रीभगवानुवाच | सुदुर्दर्शमिदं रूपं दृष्टवानसि यन्मम | देवा अप्यस्य रूपस्य नित्यं दर्शनकाङ्क्षिण: ॥52॥
śhrī-bhagavān uvācha | su-durdarśham idaṁ rūpaṁ dṛiṣhṭavān asi yan mama | devā apy asya rūpasya nityaṁ darśhana-kāṅkṣhiṇaḥ ||
"The Blessed Lord said: This form of Mine which you have seen is very difficult to see; even the gods are ever desirous of a vision of this form."
Key Insight:
The Bhagavad Gita teaches us through 11.52 that true peace is found when we align our actions with Dharma.

Detailed Meaning

In this verse, Shree Krishna emphasizes the exclusivity and sanctity of the personal form He has just revealed to Arjuna. The term 'su-durdarśham' indicates that this realization is not merely difficult, but exceedingly rare. Even the Devas (celestials), despite their high status and longevity, long for this intimate vision. The core philosophical lesson here is that God-realization is not a product of intellectual prowess, rigorous Vedic scholarship, or mechanical austerities, but a fruit of Divine Grace and pure 'Ananya Bhakti' (unwavering devotion). Krishna is teaching Arjuna—and us—that while the Cosmic Form (Vishwarupa) is awe-inspiring, the personal relationship with the Divine is the most coveted spiritual treasure.
