Chapter 15, Verse 11

यतन्तो योगिनश्चैनं पश्यन्त्यात्मन्यवस्थितम् | यतन्तोऽप्यकृतात्मानो नैनं पश्यन्त्यचेतस: ॥11॥
yatanto yoginaśh chainaṁ paśhyanty ātmany avasthitam | yatanto ‘py akṛitātmāno nainaṁ paśhyanty achetasaḥ
"Striving yogis see this (the soul) situated in the self; but, though striving, those of unrefined minds and lacking discrimination do not see it."
Key Insight:
The Bhagavad Gita teaches us through 15.11 that true peace is found when we align our actions with Dharma.

Detailed Meaning

This verse emphasizes that mere intellectual effort or external 'trying' is insufficient for spiritual realization. The 'Akrtatmanah' (those with unpurified minds) cannot perceive the Truth even if they study or practice, because their internal mirror is clouded by ego and material desires. In contrast, 'Yogis'—those who have disciplined their minds and purified their consciousness—perceive the Divine as already 'Avasthitam' (situated) within themselves. It highlights the 'Kupa-manduka-nyaya' (logic of the well-frog), suggesting that our limited material intellect cannot grasp the infinite without spiritual refinement and humility.
